I dreamed a dream of a thousand colors,
I danced with you, and with no other.
We made circles 'round the candle flame,
the subtle hold betwixt the lover.

And of all the things I fear and bane,
What of our friendship remains the same?
The price to hold so close, my love, my dream,
This awkward dance will never tame.

Wow...
At first, this poem seems rigidly structured, but the complexity that lies a little deeper is wonderful. I love your use of off ryhming together with farily tight obsevation of the meter. In particular, the first stanza is perfect. I really like this piece, and can't wait to read more of your work. Keep posting!
