VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Yes, I realize all caps are akin to screaming. I wanted to get everyone's attention.

I've been up all night writing and working, working and writing, reading and studying, and soon, I'm going to bed.

But . . .

I want everyone to take a look at what I did. Go to this link:

Yes, all by myself I created a subdomain for myself. I was very frightened of the process, and I did it. Also, I uploaded WordPress for myself. I was very frightened each step of the way. And, Chrispian had to come to my rescue to point out the obvious -- as owner, I had FTP access (that part was killing me).

But . . .

This is the start of an experiment, and the start of something new for litdotorg to expand our usefulness and our reach in the community.

Read the blog, and feel free to leave me some comments. We have our own server; I'm learning to be web savvy; I have Chrispian inspiring me and pointing me in the right direction; and, the sky is the limit!

It's just going to take us awhile to get there. I really am clueless!

Because I'm not sure if announcements scroll through the front page like everything else, I thought I'd put up the first comment so everyone could see this through the comment section.

The web page looks great. I looked at the code, and must confess it is well beyond what I learned how to do a few years back. Fun, isnīt it? Anyway, one minor suggestion; allow for different screen sizes for monitors. I forgot what the magic words were, but a guru like yourself will have no problem!

The book you are preparing looks like a sure bet. I may rush out and get a copy myself. Santeria has always been an absolute mystery to me, so it will be a good learning experience. Iīm sure you will announce the particulars about the release date and outlets soon enough.

Thanks so much, but don't be fooled -- it was all trial and error. But, I will master it. I have to, because this is one of the many exciting things I wan to roll out, bit-by-bit, to all the members of litdotorg! Beyond offering subdomains and professional blogs to columnists and moderators, I have no details yet. There is a huge learning curve for me in all of this. So be patient. Very patient. It's coming in a few months.

As for my book -- I'm glad you like what's coming! It's my first collection of short stories, and I'm very nervous about it. I'm toying with my first novel based on the ancient stories, along with other writing projects I have planned. So I hope this goes over VERY well.

And you know my big mouth! I'll keep everyone posted each step of the way.

You DO realize I already have three published on the subject? One hardback (it's sold well over 50,000 copies) and two trade paperbacks.

Go to amazon.com and search for Ochani Lele. All of my books pop up. No need to wait for the new one before reading my work!

De-STRESSING re: Wedding was a blast!
I am worn out, yesterday, finally, my middle daughter's wedding took place and after months of manic preparation it went off like a super blast of a great time. Too good a time. I am exhausted as is my son and Joseph. Some pics of the big wedding beautiful wedding will be posted on my space page at soon, not too sooon, but soon;-)


After a bit of calming down and getting my head back on, YEP, I am good to go for the EXPOSED, unless someone else has come forward and requested to do it?

As to your ideas, well, what can I say except: I THINK YOU KICK ASS AND ARE AWESOME MY OLD FRIEND! I KNEW YOU WOULD BRING NOTHING BUT EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM and ZING TO THE LIT.ORG!

YOU ARE A CREATIVE GENIUS---I am not surprised by all your ideas and this announcement;-)

Yeah Stuart...on both the announcement and your books.

Not being a techie...or anything remotely resembling one...I don't really understand what these new options are about...but because Christian...whom I adore like a grandson is involved...I know it must be good!!!

Have been under the weather lately, but hope to be in the mix again soon.
