Conspiracy? Is Economic Meltdown Obama’s 9/11?

President Obama has been using the economic crisis as an excuse to fund his socialist agenda in the name of stimulus. Could candidate Obama have been an agent of the crisis? Could he have avoided the crisis at the possible cost of failing to implement his socialist agenda? Could he have warned us, but chose otherwise?

It is worth noting that ALL of Barack Hussein Obama’s appointees were in some way involved in the U.S. economy, with a variety of vested interests. None of these people spoke out about the impending economic crisis, yet they now act as if it were foreseeable and preventable if THEY had been in charge; but no one was alerting us until the damage was done. Hussein’s home state is known for corruption; the former governor, decider of who would replace Obama in the Senate, is charged with trying to sell the seat as well as myriad other charges, including felony follicle fraud for his truly incredible hair. His chosen appointee has been less than forthcoming.

One hand removes troops from Iraq while the other plunges tens of thousands more into Afghanistan. Another wants mandatory colon exams. What’s that third hand doing here anyway? Seems creepy to me...

Obama is fully aware that no sitting president has ever failed to be reelected in time of war. Hence, the buildup (surge, if you will) in Afghanistan (and shh! Pakistan) guarantees an Obama administration waging war while facing a rabid Republican “opponent”.

Is change merely something to be shaken from the pockets of the tattered remains of corporate America? Does Barack Hussein Obama make Wayne Brady seem like Malcolm X? (credit to Dave Chappell.)

We as a nation must keep a close eye on this guy, and the White House silverware. Michelle is removing the sleeves from Laura’s old dresses to flaunt her pecs, a clearly threatening display.

Now he nearly has us singing “Kumbaya” with Muslims and dealing effectively with the economy in general, financial institutions and automobile manufacturers in particular, while tightening the screws on Iran and North Korea in cooperation with our allies.

This guy acting as if he has the nerve to actually use the means at his disposal to attempt to fulfill his campaign promises. This smells of conspiracy.

I agree with Lena -- this was a wonderful column, although I was tempted to re categorize it as an opinion piece.

Why? You're trying to sway our opinions with it, and there's no documentation of facts. To make this a column, I feel that factual documentation is needed. But for an opinion piece, this is perfect.

I don't agree with your opinion, of course, but we won't get into that.

What I do want to get into is -- you're an amazing writer when you want to be amazing, and I'm happy to have you back here in fine Dr. Soos form!

I look forward to more of your work, my friend.

Most newspaper columns are opinion pieces, and rarely do they document anything outside of the odd political quote.

So forget what I wrote about documentation. I almost did re categorize this. But now that I've seen my tired, weary thoughts in writing, I realize how asinine my reasoning was.

Stuart re Conspiracy
As a romp through the first hundred and some days of the Obama administration, I attempted to forge a fragile link as tenuous as the evidence of 9/11 conspiracy theorists (although I still believe it possible that numerous warnings to the CHENEY/Bush administration upon assuming power beyond any provided for in the U.S.A. Constitution, also assumed a few hundred dead Americans would justify an open-ended 'War on Terror' (oops, they misunderestimated), in which within Guantanamo Bay (U.S. posessed) waterboarding is listed as 'beach recreation',
and unshaded cages are tanning booths. I tried to create a link perhaps more unlikely than Saddam having WMDs in the Second Iraqi War (for Democracy and Freedom). I could go on, and I will in my own time. A perusal of

is revealing as to the intentions and perhaps the willingness to find a means to justify their ways.

Oops! I'm off subject, that is: 'Category'?

It's not really Opinion, it's merely a nut cluster theory wrapped with a milk chocolate coating of truth.

It's not truly a rant. There is no clear target.

I considered Humor; I may as well have buried it in blogs.

Satire may have been appropiate, if extant.

Occam's Razor serves to separate and divide, rather than clarify.

It's a Column, I hope the prejudices and conflicted views within were seen as a microcosm of a macroNation, where anything is possible, and conspiracies really can come true (and it really was space aliens, not Uncle Ernie, probing me; regardless of the resemblance behind its Eagles football facemask spacemask).

Column? Yes it is! DrSoos...
I believe this belongs in the column category. I think an ongoing column with your political perspective would be very cool...just like LinnieRed's monthly music column. She is excellent at what she knows and does best, as are you in this arena of knowledge and fascinating perspective which has always made your work good/great reading in my view;-)

Good idea, and Dr Soos is welcome to brainstorm and come up with a regular political column for the pages of litdotorg; however (there's always one of those out of me), to be fair it would have to be a 2 part column, because I don't want to give "Majestic" a political slant.

I think I would need a regular columnist to write side-by-side with Soos to present an opposing opinion of the same view, if I were to include politics in a writers' newsletter. With opposing opinions on the same subject, readers wouldn't feel like we were becoming political.

Does that make sense? I just woke up. And late. The storm took out our power today and all of the lights were out. They just came back on, and I"m out the door an hour late for work.

There's chaos waiting for me at the hospital, I'm sure.

And, again, wonderful writing DrSoos. You're back to your old self, and I'm happy!

Right Wing Humorist?
Dagger or anyone else with right wing or more "conservative" views...would do great, but (here comes my "but")...in my opinion what makes DrSoos special in his writing and this his style of column is that it is not a typical political slant column, it clever humor too, being funny and serious at the same time is an art form few can do, and DrSoos is a master of it, SO...maybe if someone on the political right/whatever with a quick wit and good sense of humor could take on what you suggest, then that would be the most balanced approach don't you think?

But hey, it's not up to me. It's all up to you, DrSoos, and whoever else wants to put out the same level of intelligence and sense of humor that DrSoos is so good at, which I believe is quite a task and challenge for any writer so inclined to approach this suggestion of yours...that's my two cents, and my two cents is just that and nothing more.

Also, DrSoos doesn't have to have it included in the newsletter unless he wants to, right? He can just do it freelance just as anyone else is free to do here, right?

Whatever everyone decides to do or not do and it seems OK with you is FINE with me;-) I just happen to be a fan of the writing of DrSoos, been a big fan for a long time and yes, it is good to see him back and writing up a storm of great, well written stuff.

hurray for our side
If I understand this column, or opinion, or whatever correctly, you are saying that the Obama administration is doing a very effective job in carrying out a questionable agenda. I saw no real opinion here. Instead, it feels like naked satire to me. What goes unsaid, and masterfully so, is that the "conspiracy" is alive and well, and is currently in the hands of skillful players. Keep speaking in tongues, Dr. Soos. I don´t understand the words but the tune is familiar.

CONSPIRACY!
Stuart: I welcome an opposing view, but opposing what exactly what? I tend to be fiscally consertative, socially liberal to Libertarian, and potitically moderate listing toward the left, in short, a Democrat mostly but willing to cross party lines. I voted for John Anderson, an independent candidate for President, over Carter and Reagan. (Let's face it, Carter didn't stand a chance, I would not have voted for Reagan with a gun held to my head, and a vote for Anderson seemed to mean something. I suppose the Nader supporters feel the same- I don't. Thanks for giving Republicans the Presidency. Wow, that's a big parenthetical you have there. 'Thank you'.

I veered off-subject there, but I can submit my stuff early enough that you to distribute it to any willing to oppose my views, however warped.

'Majestic' intrigues me as well; it seems it was defunct the last time I tried, If memory serves (If!) I will check it out, as you should be aware that I produce superb work in many categories, all modesty aside.

Thank you Lena, for your comments as well as your realization that opposing a satirical piece as if it were actual factual opinion could cause said opponent to appear to be an ass and a ninny. Satire vs. satire might work. I appreciate your comments.

His home state is Hawaii, Michelle is from Chicago. People around him do suspicious things. People around me do suspicious things as well. Invading Afganistan makes since seeing that's where Osama Ben Laden is, (if you want to get the people responsible for 9/11. All they had in Iraq is oil). Yes, the people around him sound like they could've headed off the fiscal crisis 'if they were in charge', but they weren't, the Bushs/Chaneys/Halliburtons were. The conspiracy you're looking for is in the other direction: The Republican party wants to turn the US into a third world country were poor people work for slave wages and the middleclass is nonexistant.
DYK: All White Supremist consider themselves Patriotic Conservative Republicans; but not all Patriotic Conservative Republicans consider themselves White Supremist, (but then again - how far can they be?). FYI

Doc, excuse. I work with a bunch of Republicans, (can't tell you how often I've her Obama Ben Laden this week, and how funny it isn't). I'm starting to jump at shadows,(whatwazdat? It was nothing). I don't really catagorize myself as a Democrate, but more of an "anti-republican". I don't know what the Dems are doing, but I do know what the Republicans are up too.
DYK: Have you ever heard of "Voter Intemidation"?
Voter intemidation is only carried out by Republicans against minority groups, and it's not against the law? (And yet we 'Americans' call for honest elections in other countries). FYI.
