Standing in the middle of a field,
Staring through the rain,
Past the wind
Up into the clouds.
Only I canít,
A capsule of this storm surrounds me
Chilling me bones
Dampening my smile.
Looking for someone
Appears to be
A lost battle in a storm.
Drizzle and rain mixed in the bowl,
Make for a moist cake.
Droplets fall
Sliding from my forehead,
Moistening my nose,
Caressing my cheeks,
Docking upon my lips.
I mistake them for tears.
My toes tinkle,
As they succumb to the wetting.
No-one is around
I am the only full
Weathering this storm.
Wind is whistling
Sending a shiver down my spine
That resonates round this field.
I spy a little Robin
He is struggling just as much as me,
He stumbles and falls,
As the wind and rain toss him in the atmosphere,
Like he was a penny.
All alone in a field
In the rain.
No-one likes being alone,
I have to question my motives.
I came here to scream a
Lonely scream.
And now I just feel lonely,
And I havenít screamed.
Perhaps if I clear my lungs
My heart will have more room to breath.
ďIíM ALL ALONE IN A FIELD IN THE RAIN AND I WANT TO GO HOME"
