It is over...so it goes.
Why is it that this is the way it goes?
Because Kurt said so.
So many lies and they all began at the start. What does one do when illusions have been exploded into a thousand broken shards of what was once your heart? How do you begin to pick up the pieces when your eyes are still blinded by tears.
Perhaps itis time for me to stop it with my delusions that people are instrinsicly good and honest if only given half the chance.
If I am not supposed to care, because you apparently never did, then why does it hurt so much to think of you in anothers\\\' arms?

I gave you a 10 because of this one line:

In the Lucumi faith, we have a proverb that comes from the odu Irosun Meji (I know -- none of that means anything to you). The proverb reads:

"The tree is born straight but becomes crooked in time."

There is another one from that same odu:

"All are born sincere but die liars."

Our faith teaches us that people are born intrinsically good and pure; however, their nurturing, their environment, even life itself, sends stressors that cause humans to become . . . well . . . not so good and pure.

We are taught that to make the world a better place, the current generations of "elders" (teachers, parents, grandparents, great grandparents, political leaders, priests, priestesses, and other teachers of other faiths and people with power) must first make conscious decisions to change themselves. And then, they have to use good, gentle character to mold the newer generations so they grow straight, and not crooked.

Cultures tend to produce more of what they are. Sadly, there are very few cultures in this world who retain and pass down any sense of morality and good character.

For us, that's why we believe the people in this world are such a mess.

Just a few thoughts I had that popped into my head after reading that line in your work!

What I was getting at is this seemingly purile mentality of mine that... people should tell the truth at all times and at all costs.
