Just received a note from Kacee. She has been absent from Lit for awhile...not by choice.

She has been hospitalized for several weeks with a blood disorder that has stymied the Doctors for awhile. She was very ill with anemia, that hasn't responded to any treatments that they have tried on her, and is baffling them no end.

She has asked for my prayers, and I'm sure that all of us here at Lit who were fond of her, will want to wish her well.

Kacee, my thoughts and prayers are with you....you are such a beautiful and good soul, here on the Lit.Org you have been missed, always you made fun posts and threads, and you have sincerity that has always come through loud and clear.....I hope you get better soon.

WE ALL LOVE YOU DEARLY, and you are VERY MISSED!

I have had similar problems with SEVERE anemia (to the point of needing blood transfusions) all my life, and finally some of the problem has been identified, but it is personal medical stuff, so maybe in a private email or pm we can talk about it, eh? The docs will figure it out for you too, you'll see!

COME BACK SOON, GET WELL, and if I knew your address or hospital I would send you flowers, you deserve flowers! Does anyone know that would privately give it to me, I want to send Kacee flowers!

Bea, thanks for posting this about Kacee if you know how I can get some flowers or a gift to get well soon, please let me know...thanks.

I just received an e-mail from Kacee...here is part of it:

"Was released last Friday...Yesterday was back in Pittsburgh for more
blood tests and CAT/PET scans...Will meet up with the Dr.
Thursday...Maybe some answers...I feel the love and many thanks to all
for prayers, well wishes, and flowers."

She would rather not give out her personal information (address...phone number) for now, but she reads the threads and will respond personally when she is feeling better.

I just love you guys...You are my family...I feel somewhat better today...Got three loads of clothes done and cleaned up the house a bit...Although my son tries ...God love him...no one cleans like I do...
Went to Pittsburgh... Magee Woman's Hospital...Got CAT/PET scans...and two blood tests yesterday...Before they did this I was told by another doctor that I had enlarged lymph nodes and spleen...My skin is yellow...I take iron twice a day...Yesterday I had the runs...the iron surely didn't bind me up...Maybe it was all that stuff they put into my body...Two dye cocktails, the sugar and radiation fix...and the iodine drip...What a trip! By the way I hate Pittsburgh...Thursday another trip to the Big Shitty to see the Blood Doctor...Dr. Raptis...sounds like a dinosaur...He is huge...I mean height and width...I'm going to try to make him smile...Kacee

Update
CAT/PET scans show some activity in neck and upper chest ...Monday I will be going back to the hospital...They are going to admit me and take a core biopsy...we will go from there...God is always with me...I will trust in the Lord...Kacee
