I'm looking forward.
Heart in hand and head held high.
No more repetition.
No more past mistakes.
No more wondering about what might have been.

I'm looking forward.
Sword in hand and head held high.
I'll fight for what I want.
I'll fight for this.
I'll fight for me.

I'm looking forward.
With life inside and head held high.
Inside this weathered skin.
Inside this fragile frame.
Inside this soldier.

I'm looking forward.
Baby in arms and head held high.
I'll fight for sleep.
I'll fight for love.
I'll fight for you.

Move Forward...
Could have been a much better poem, but for the fact that the form of this piece is recurring throughout most of your other work. Not to sound like Obama or McCain, but every once in a while change is good and so is moving forward.

HAHA!!
LOL

Great comments. Thank you. I definitely get stuck in a repetition rut and it's something I need to work on. Been a long time since I've written and yet those same themes and forms keep rearing their sappy heads.

Hahaha... I'll work on being a little more spontaneous and form-free!
