My love's eyes are reflecting pools,
That mirror the azure of the sky.
My love's tender lips are velvet,
Like the sweetest August peach.
My love's ears are always open,
Like wildflowers in the first morning light.
My love's fingertips are soldiers,
That march deliberately across my skin.
My love's neck is warm and rosy-hued,
Like the belly of a newborn child.
My love's heart is a horse's canter,
That drums, unfaltering, through the night.
My love's eyes are the future's windows,
In which I see my life's beginning.
