like

a beacon
on the dark canvas
of the enigmatic.

Cut
the

darkness like a rain
of diamond,

glittering
with

lambent

resolution.
Shine

until

your

time is up
and you fade into forever.

Enigmatic glow
I like the enigmatic and lambent resolution descriptives. I think those define very well how it is we view stars. I don't think the last stanza does the previous lines justice. It seems a little less poetic than what the final moment of a star should be. I wonder if you could word it in a slightly different way to lend a bit more mysticism to the bigger idea of starlight.

POEWHIT
In Viet Nam I would lay on my back for hours watching the stars. Then the meteors that flash. The heavens are a spectrum of wonder, a dancing show.
