Young man's interest, hormone tingles
Felt the change, I might be able
All I got was a case of Shingles

Exercised to lose love handles
Had a chase round kitchen table
Young man's interest, hormone tingles

Planned a sit on sofa, have some cuddles
As we watched the tv cable
All I got was a case of Shingles

Wouldn't get naked, everything jiggles
This poem is not a made up fable
Young man's interest, hormone tingles

Young man's interest wanes, then fizzles
Online emails start to dwindle
All I got was a case of Shingles

Everything around me crumbles
Keeping warm with my faux Sable
Young man's interest, hormone tingles
All I got was a case of Shingles

To tell you the truth, I haven't had much tingling in my life...I almost didn't know what it was when it happened...Of course that was because my hormones gave up the ghost long ago...All of a sudden one little hormone started tingling...I thought , maybe the testosterone isn't taking over after all (she rubs her upper lip and chin) Wrong again!!! But it's a start...Things were picking up in the cyber relationship and then he started taking blood pressure meds...not feeling right ....Dr. adjusts meds...His libido went kaput... (he was 20 years my junior) I was left with a case of Shingles...I think it was because my body chemistry started to change...If it keeps changing...I have no idea what I'll be turning into... I guess I'll have some where to write about it...on Lit...Kacee

Well, my dear friend, as the varieties of herpes virus go, better shingles than genital herpes, which you can't catch on the internet...;-)

That said, this was great fun! There's nothing more liberating, I find, than laughing about ourselves. And you do it with as much gusto as panache. I love it!

The real you, and I know this for a fact, is that hot babe jumping out of a cake! Whore moans be damned!

You are right ...about being safer on the internet...didn't even have cyber sex...I never allowed that either...just a little teasing...Shingles are not fun but I always seem to laugh at life no matter what is dealt me...Thanks for reading and commenting...Kacee

Pen

Didn't mean to bring up bad memories...I noticed a rash on my ribs one Sunday...called the doctor on Monday and by Tuesday was taking meds...even though we caught it right away ...I was a mess for a month or more...It spread to my back and it felt like I had a tooth ache in my ribs...couldn't wear a bra...a prisoner in my own home...but that wasn't the worst thing I had ....Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (Sp) had that beat...Fought that for 6 years.

As far as the fellows go...they can all go... not interested anymore.. Thanks for your comment....Kacee

Thanks for your comment...no thanks to the Penicillin ...I'm allergic...I would rather tingle with someone I LOVE ... I'm not a stand in line gal for casual sex...I guess I'm a REALLY OLD FASHIONED GAL...I believe in marriage...Of course I would rather stick needles in my eyes than try that again...in that case I remain faithfully chaste...Kacee

Dead pan humour-- young man's hormones tingle. Lots of ideas with Tingles and Shingles. Shows up the nature of a villanelle form--- where more fluid and likely facile for FE to get to grips with while I read it rote.
