That's just on myspace...I heard in the news there were pedophiles and murderers and con artists that had myspace accounts...Then there are the nice grandmas like me... ...Don't kill the messenger...Just here to say ...there are good people and bad people everywhere ...even the internet... Freaky Place
I know I haven't seen it all...Don't think I want to...The most terrible thing I have seen was the morgue pics of Elizabeth Short after she was tortured and cut in half...

This poem is to warn as alot of my other poems are ...to be careful if you decide to hook up with someone online...

freaky, indeed! and the rollickingly surreal language is the perfect compliment to this cautionary tale… mind you, “real” life can be just as freaky, and some people, myself included, are just freak-magnets.

Eric,
My ,doubting Thomas, friend...I already checked ...and there were pages and pages on google of murderers who had myspace accounts...I still think myspace is a wonderful place to meet interesting people...and you can block the ones you want to get rid of...I'm just saying never give anyone your private information ...even if they say they love you...There are predators all over the internet...just use common sense...I had a friend when I first went on myspace who got mixed up with a guy who turned out to be a Control Freak and jealously possessive...He bought her a ticket to come see him and spend a week...turned out he wasn't the nice guy she met online and he had her on his turf ...not safe! She ended coming home after 3 days ...and she was one of the lucky ones...

The only thing I take as gospel truth is The Bible...but of course you don't believe that either... no one can make you...I will not debate you...believe as you like...I will do the same...

The country I was referring to was Barbara Mandrell's song," I was Country When Country Wasn't Cool"...a humorous song...I can't stand Willie Nelson...but I do like Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Bros..."All the Gold in California" is in a bank in Beverly Hills in somebody else's name...My luck...I dislike twangy Bluegrass almost as much as I hate RAP...It jangles my nerves...

As far as me being a Freak Magnet...Every bi-polar, paraniod , psycho freak I've ever met has tried to latch onto me...I'm not doing that anymore...there you have it...Kacee

The last internet freak story I heard was from a late patient of mine, a lesbian looking to hook up with some woman, and she's getting responses from wives of guys who were a bunch of girls just wanting to have fun. Perverse, cruel and petty if you ask me, and that's nothing compared to what some of your commenters know to be going on. Anyway, my late patient's life ended happy because she'd found her true love and had a year with her before dying.

For whatever it's worth, Kacee, the damn sidewalk outside our doors is a freaky place...You think you know your neighbourhood from standing at your window watching it go by and sometimes, it can be just as freaky as what you don't see on your computer screen.

You make good points here, and your light-hearted tone brings them across loud and clear.

Freaky Sidewalks
Lucie...No place is safe any more...When I was a kid you knew all your neighbors...Not all good guys either...My girlfriend's dad sexually molested me from the ages 5-8...I tried to tell but no one believed me...Most of the time you could sleep with your doors unlocked...not now...
We don't even know who our neighbors are...Isn't it sad that you can't trust anyone now days? Thanks for your comment..Kacee
