"8 Million people in this city, and their only purpose in this world is to raise those select few that are exceptional onto their shoulders. We, Spider-man, are Exceptional."
MAN! That Movie RULED! Willem Dafoe kicked Major Bahooty as the Green Goblin, with the PERFECT voice and maniacal laughter to perform the Goblin at his most maniacal, as I will demonstrate with another quote directly from the Movie, towards the end with the final Showdown between Spider-Man and Green Goblin.
"This is why only FOOLS choose to be heroes, because someday a Mad man will come along and force them to make a SADISTIC CHOICE!"
Man Such great lines from Willem Dafoe. And if you've been living under a ROCK that's buried five thousand feet underground for the last three weeks, you'll know that OPENING Weeked Spider-Man The Movie Grossed $114.8 MILLION.
I shall repeat that for emphasis.
$114.8 MILLION! That pretty much Shattered the Record for Opening Weekend grossing, Whereas the PRevious Record was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone which opened for 90.2 Million if I remember Correctly.
Another Thing, Tobey Maguire was Pretty damn good as Spider-Man, I can't really picture anyone else playing'em. He Really Buffed up for this movie, and it was so Neat to see him portraying emotions so well, such as after the GRaduation scene, where he sat on the bed...and just stared vacantly as he started to cry. It was just great.
AND AT THE END!
"Mary Jane, I want you to know...That I will ALWAYS be here for you..Whenever you need me...I will always watch out for you....as a friend."
Damn near cried. It was also the first time I ever cried out,"YOU PANSY!" In a crowded Theatre.
And When Willem Dafoe Was playing the Mirror Scene? Classic.
Man Oh Man, I'd Recommend this Movie to anyone...and I'd be surprised if it doesn't win any awards in the upcoming months...
