Author's Note:This is NOT poetry.

La Dolce Vita is Piazza Navona where the Figure Skater is mincing in her new high heels.
Droves of scooters puff as they shuttle between bars and clubs.
Young scions of Italy face another long night of love, flirting and romance.
They splash in the fountains of Rome.
Italians stay away from hard drink.
Italians stay away from drugs.
Italians shy away from brawls.
Italians enjoy the passeggiata: the time of checking out each other and enjoying the tension before the romantic unknown. It is La Dolce Vita.
La Dolce Vita is Shakespeare babbling about Mediterranean romance.
La Dolce Vita is the shocking display of love and affection.
La Dolce Vita is beyond romantic love, it is friendship and family ties.
La Dolce Vita is beyond the mandatory social kissing at every hello and goodbye.
The gestures of La Dolce Vita are platonic and romantic.
Young girls will rest their heads on each other’s shoulders.
Girlfriends in their twenties will hold hands or go arm in arm in the street, inspiring fantasies of vestals wrapped in gauzy linen singing Sapphic serenades.
Brother and sister will kiss and embrace.
Young men will coo to baby girls.
In the street, in the bar, in the shops, anyplace, anytime, mothers will smother their grown up sons with hugs and kisses.
Lovers kiss and exchange gifts in public.
La Dolce Vita is a pleasant shock to northerners, Americans, Britons, Scandinavian and whoever comes there to warm up in the sun of love.
They are in paradise: their romance is the grey, sleety, chilly weather romance, the indoors with nothing but the TV and the bed romance. Their romance is embracing under the blankets to keep warm.
La Dolce Vita romances are relaxed and inspired by the limitless minutiae of platonic pursuits.
La Dolce Vita offers serious relationships more time to flower into something richer and more lasting.
LA Dolce Vita is the high voltage of sexually charged young Apollos striking David-like macho postures, their slingshots traded for artistic clothes sewn to capture one of the beautiful pouting girls with Figure-Skater figures beatified by skin-tight dresses.
La Dolce Vita is nomadic sirens that dwell by the fountains and enchant you with provocative glances.
La Dolce Vita is the gorgeous interlacing of traditional and wonderfully hypocritical family values:
boys love girls a bit less than they love their mothers;
girls love boys a bit more than they love their brothers.
Into this La Dolce Vita scene the Figure Skater and her Nutty Admirer came to enjoy action and variety, but, instead, they became long-term visitors searching for true love. La Dolce Vita turned out to be the most fertile setting in the world for the gentle flowering of a deep and dream-like romance.
