BaDooM DaBooM: DJ's Thoughts on Moulin Rouge.
Well I rented, FINALLY arrived at the library, Moulin Rouge. And I really have only one thing to say about it that really sums up the experience:
WHAT THE HELL?
I enjoyed the Movie...except the entire "Can Can" Part, though most red blooded males would enjoy women flashing panties and bra's left and right, but Pardon me if I'm a bit more classy than that. I LOVED the Music...I'm looking into picking up the Second Soundtrack to see about Listening to it...
But The Movie itself was a bit...Well...Stereotypical. Don't get me wrong, it was enjoyable for a guy like me who appreciates the effort and work going into musicals, but My family had a point in saying that it was Campy and Cheesy..
Though they didn't realize it was based on a 19th century novel...Or that entire Orpheus Deal..
The Entire Absince Part was HILARIOUS! And when I first saw the guy that was singing, I told my brother.."QUI GON JINN CAN SING!" ..Then he Politely told me Ewan McGregor played OBI-WAN..The Bastard...
Swear to god Ewan McGregor's got a set of pipes one mile high and three miles wide, I never realized he could sing that well...
The Lady Marmalade Video's were just sickening. REALLY...If I wanted to see half nekkid women prance around I'd actually tune into Smackdown for that sole reason...Yet I do Tune into Smackdown cause I'm a fan of Wrestling, but not how Women are PORTRAYED in that show. Keeping on the Moulin Rouge Topic, It reminded me of a big Music Video, the whole way through, and the guy who played Harry Zidler was HILARIOUS...yet Serious.
Bottome Line? I enjoyed this movie, but I dunno about Buying the Movie. I'd defintely buy both soundtracks though.
This is DJ Emerid, and this has Been BaDooM DaBooM.
