The deadline for the Writer's Digest 73rd Annual Writing Competition isn't until May, but an early warning may give you a head start in preparing your manuscript! You have until May 15th to tweak your manuscript to its perfect fit before sending it in to us.

More than $25,000 in prizes will be awarded in 10 categories. The grand-prize winner will receive $1,500 in cash and the choice of a trip to New York City to meet with editors and agents or a trip to the 2005 Maui Writers Conference. In addition, the first- through 10th-place winners in each of the categories will win cash and merchandise prizes. There are 1,001 winners in all.
