Ode to the Inernet! And to this site! :) Being my first attempt at writing online and becoming active in a community, I'm grateful for the ability to share with and reach so many that are beyond my immediate physical world. Ths site is truly fascinating. Here we have a bunch of absolutely great writers, with styles so varied, that the mind is somehow dismantled, in a good way. I'm grateful I've found Lit.org; it gives me more of a chance with readers than my own hole-in-the-wall site, and it's piqued my interest in writing again. My only wish is that *every* piece of work here received equal readership, comments and ratings, not just the short pieces. We're all in the same boat, wondering if we're any good, why we get rejected, and whether we did what we set out to do: entertain or provoke thought.

I have done a lot of searching for online publishers, contests, etc... It's a jungle out there. If I had known about lit.org, I could have saved a lot of time and definetly had a lot less frustration. Lit.org is a site worth visiting, and more importantly it's a site worth using.

I love this site. I've been looking for a site to submit my works, and have a little exposure, but all I've found are sites that beg you to buy the extended version so you can have more than 5 items out there. This is the site I've been looking for, plus some.

Those of us that have been doing it for a while are always willing to help. Anyone and everyone can join and publish their works (blessing and a curse, sometimes, but still). I have not yet fully explored all the possibilities this site has to offer to budding authors, or just literature lovers. From what I have been able to see so far, I believe that it is a great interactive way of exploring new ways of writing or discovering new authors. What is most appealing about this site is that it is simple to use, without need to struggle with your computer to get your works submitted. I highly recommend it.

I just found this website, and I'm really glad I did. I try to write as often as I can, and usually just keep it in some lost file. I'm glad there's a place where others can read my work. I'm also happy that I can read the works of others and that we can all exchange ideas and constructive criticisms.

Lit.org is... such an amazing place in the midst of the smut that the internet has to offer. A place where someone can read wonderful horror, science fiction, fantasy, and other types of stories, comment on them, and then write his or her own work of literature is just amazing.
