Personally I don't think I can say anything about myself without 1st-person prejudice. At best I am a paperback mystery with its last pages torn off. But this proposition from author C.S. Lewis sums up my general outlook on life best: "If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." Man ought to live forever!
