I was born in Fon du Lac, WI, in 1950, grew up in West Bend, WI, migrated to Iowa in1974, and then moved to Minnesota in November of 1979, where I have permanently resided for twenty two-plus years. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations from the University of Minnesota. I began writing poems as a nine-year-old child for my mom and special cards, but really began getting serious about my poetry in 1973 while touring the South as a singer and horn player in a touring nightclub show band, and still possess my first serious poem written in notebook while sitting on the shore of the ocean in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in 1973! I began getting published in 1978 in an anthology of poems, and have poems in over twenty anthologies, and thirteen published on an internet site. I also have one poem recorded on a CD of poetry from around the world. Robert Frost, e.e.cummings, and Edgar Alan Poe are three of my favorite poets who have influenced my style of writing poetry.
I am highly involved with singing and acting as well as poetry, and live in Hopkins, MN, with one adult female Calico cat, Princess, and Princess’ two kittens, Reddy and Patches…the joys of my life! From my love of Poe, Frost, and Cummings, my own style
of writing was born, nurtured, and has grown through my present poems. I have recently become a member of LIVING POETS SOCIETY.
