In some poems I write about a million different scenarios in one, not just a single subject.

[we had to write journal entries each class, so these are taken from pages in my year 10 creative writing exercise book:]
Today in creative writing, Miss Noble told us to write a story without any conflict in it.
At first it was hard thinking up something to write but then when you thought of an idea it was easier.
When writing a story without conflict, you have to make everything nice and happy.
The story without conflict is very boring because everything is wonderful and that is not what happens in real life.
Today in class, we learnt more about desire.
Miss Noble read a story to us about a boy who is obsessed with swimming and turns into a fish.
After that we wrote a story about any person who is obsessed with a sport or an object and then they turn into the object that they are using, or an animal that does the same thing as the sport. (i.e. the short story: 'Andy')
Today in class we wrote a story with dialogue in it, to show the character's emotion and personality.
Dialouge is very important in stories because it shows us what the characters are thinking and it lets them interact and share thoughts with each other.
Most stories have dialogue but it's very hard not to use it if there is more than 1 person.
