I am married to my hero and my white knight. We have been together since I was 17, almost 19 years now. We have two children together who to me I would bet my life were walking Angels here on earth that I got the honor of borrowing until they can go out on their own to do great things. They amaze and awe me everyday.
I started writing in high school my freshman year and was encouraged to continue to do so and not put it away somewhere by my Sophmore english teacher Ms. J.J. Kaiser. As well as friends. But it wasn't until a few years back that after finding my first real ( lot of fakes and scams out there) on line poetry site that with a lot of prodding from my husband I finally got the nerve to post something. I went terribly. I was critisized so badly as a poet and not with the hope to make me a better writer but as a person that I swore I would never EVER post anything again. Yet I still continued to look for credible poetry sites.
After finding lit. and a one or two other sites and really reading the comments from the members and researching the sites themselves for a while I held my breath and tried again.
So here I am 36 writing mediocre poetry among some of thee best poets and people I have ever read or known.
Scared that I'll be laughed at a joke but still posting as a way to cope and deal with life, being a cutter, and everything in between.
